Tampa (City of Tampa Water) lawn irrigation: 0 or 1 → Monday; 2 or 3 → Tuesday; 4 or 5 → Wednesday; 6 or 7 → Thursday; 8 or 9 → Friday. Allowed hours: midnight–4 a.m. or 8 p.m.–midnight, once on your day.

## Status
Modified Phase III water shortage since 2026-04-03. Tampa has limited lawn watering to one day a week year-round since 1992; the current regional water shortage order took effect April 3, 2026.

- Lawn irrigation: 0 or 1 → Monday; 2 or 3 → Tuesday; 4 or 5 → Wednesday; 6 or 7 → Thursday; 8 or 9 → Friday; no address: Friday

Allowed hours: midnight–4 a.m. or 8 p.m.–midnight, once on your day

## Exceptions
Hand watering and micro-irrigation of plants other than lawn: any day, but not between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Properties of one acre or more may use both windows on their day. HOAs may not fine you for a dry lawn while restrictions are in effect.

## Fines
Citations on first observance, with fines up to $500 and a mandatory court appearance.

## Applies to
Properties inside Tampa city limits on city water or well water. Unincorporated Hillsborough County, Temple Terrace and areas outside Hillsborough County have their own rules.
