## Short answer
Los Angeles (LADWP) sprinkler watering: even addresses Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday; odd addresses Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Allowed hours: before 9 a.m. or after 4 p.m..

## Exceptions
Hand watering with a self-closing nozzle is allowed any day before 9 a.m. or after 4 p.m. Sprinklers are limited to one 8-minute cycle per station per day (non-conserving nozzles) or two 15-minute cycles (conserving nozzles).

## Fines
Written warning first, then $100, $200 and $300 for homes (meters under 2 in.); a fifth violation brings a flow restrictor.

## Applies to
LADWP customers in the City of Los Angeles. Other LA County cities and water companies (Golden State Water, Cal Water, Glendale, Pasadena…) have their own rules.
